I’m not sure if camp is for me. Who’s it for?

Anyone that wants to make a positive dent in the world and doesn’t want to do it alone. Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur or small business owner that needs some guidance and inspiration, a creative or social entrepreneur that is looking to grow their impact by learning from others, or you’re just curious about what the future of work, business and life looks like when we work together to make a difference, Summercamp is your playground – a hub of lifelong learning and connection. If you have any doubts just apply and tell us in your application and we’ll be in touch.

I don’t know any anyone, Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many like you don’t know anyone before they come and have doubts and fears about coming. We put a lot of work into making you feel welcomed both before during and after the event. On our Facebook group you can meet campers before to co-ordinate travel and car shares. At the event you’ll meet up to 3 fellow tent mates soon after arrival (if not bringing your own or a campervan – see below), plus we connect you into a small groups in early on. We also have lots of volunteers (and even a life coach) on site should you have anything you’re worried or concerned about and need someone to talk to. After the event we have our supportive online community which is there to help you keep the vibe alive and build on the work over the weekend.

Do I need to be a CreaGeless member?

Yes but basic membership is free. Platinum members save hundred of dollars so this is a great time to consider joining. Membership to Creageless is free so basically ye – if you get accepted the invite will be good for you and a friend (they’ll just need to buy a ticket too).

Can I bring my children?

Only I they are over, don’t; mind an older crowd and but a ticket, Sure that than that – camp is a kids-free zone.

I can’t afford the full price, are there any discounts?

There is an early bird discount and Creageless platinum members save hundreds. You can join here. If you need to, you can pay in the full amount in three monthly installments.

Accommodation

Where will I stay?

Your ticket includes accommodation in one of our assembled luxury bell tents supplied by our friends at Loveabell. If you prefer you can bring your own tent or campervan but would need to let us know by Monday 9th September.

The bell tent are 5m wide and you’ll be sharing with up to 3 other fellow campers. They will be same sex tents.  A comfortable sleeping bag, pillow and camping bed will be supplied for you. Upon arrival at camp, if driving, please park your car at the directed area and the make your way to the front of the marquee for registration. From here we’ll direct you to your bell tent.

Please be aware that if it’s a clear, starry night it will be very cold out camping. If you are prone to chilliness please bring extra blankets, warm clothes or a hot water bottle. We don’t sell blankets, sleeping bags or extra layers on site, so come prepared.

What if I want to bring my own tent?

If you’ve decided to bring your own tent instead of using one of our free bell tent beds, let us know by email. You can pitch any sized tent you like free of charge. Upon arrival at camp, if driving, please park your car in the designated area and the make your way to the front of the marquee for registration. From here we’ll give you directions to pitch your tent.

What if I want to bring my own campervan?

If you’ve decided to bring a campervan to camp this year, there is a surcharge of £25 + VAT which we pay directly to the venue on your behalf. Email us to arrange this. Upon arrival at camp, please ask one of our traffic volunteers for directions on where to park your campervan.

Please note, if you decide last minute that you’d like to take advantage of your free bell tent place after having told us you’re bringing your own tent or campervan this will only possible if we have spaces left.

What if I want to stay in a B&B nearby?

We won’t stop you but for the full Summercamp experience we recommend staying on site so you don’t miss out on anything. The magic typically happens over the campfire and in the early morning sun.

Facilities

Bear in mind this is a working farm so washing facilities are limited. There are plenty of toilets but only a few showers so patience will be required first thing in the morning (or think of it as a chance to meet fellow camp mates!). Showers will be less busy in the afternoon.

Unfortunately we won’t be able to provide much in the way of charging facilities for mobile phones. We’re encouraging people to take a break from their devices while at camp and be present. If you are concerned about charging your phone battery, we’d recommend buying an external battery pack and bringing this along.

What do I need to bring?

  • Warm clothing (expect it to be cold at night)

  • Tent and sleeping bag  (if you’re bringing your own tent)

  • Towels

  • Shower gel/shampoo

  • Water bottle

  • Snack (We’ll have some but feel free to bring your own)

  • Waterproof clothing (Ya never know)
